It’s been a busy summer on-site at Bermondsey, and we are making good progress with the first homes on track to be ready for occupation in September next year.

We are working hard to minimise disruption to our neighbours and appreciate your patience as we continue work to deliver the new homes, shops, and public spaces for Bermondsey. We continue to actively monitor construction vehicle movements to ensure the safety of all road users, and have put additional measures in place to minimise the transfer of dust and mud to the surrounding roads. Daily noise and vibration readings are also being taken and monitored to ensure environmental control limits are adhered to, minimizing disruption to our neighbours.

UPCOMING WORKS

In order to continue progress on site and install vital infrastructure to service the future homes, there are some upcoming activities that will impact local traffic and the surrounding area.

Clements Road Works
The scheduled infrastructure works have been completed on Storks Road and Clements Road, with traffic routes reopened. Temporary works will progress on the footpath located on the corner of Clements Road and St James’s Road; this will result in the closure of this section until the 4th of October 2024.

Webster Road Works
Infrastructure works are due to commence on Webster Road on the 7th of October for an anticipated period of 7 days completing on the 14th of October. Traffic management will be implemented for vehicles via two-way signals, and parking bays on this section of Webster Road will be suspended where necessary. Please get in contact if you have any queries or concerns about access to your property during this period.

We are committed to being a considerate neighbour and will be working hard to ensure that any disruption caused by our construction work is kept to a minimum. Our construction working hours are as follows:

CONSTRUCTION WORKING HOURS

8am to 6pm, Weekdays

9am to 2pm, Saturdays

We will endeavour to provide advanced notice if any out of hours works are required.
