Earlier this year, Southwark Council granted Greystar planning permission for minor changes to the previously approved plans for The Bermondsey Project. As part of the planning application, Buildings O, P, Q and W were granted detailed planning consent.
Building V was approved in outline only, meaning the principle for development was agreed upon without the designed being confirmed in detail. We wanted to work with the Registered Provider who will be delivering the social rent homes to develop detailed plans for Building V, to ensure these new homes meet the needs of their future tenants.

Charter School Bermondsey, SE16 2BT (entrance on Keeton’s Road)
This building will provide 82 new social rent homes, ranging in size from one to four bedrooms. New homes will have private balconies, and a roof garden will be provided for residents to access and enjoy.
We have been developing our plans for Block V over recent months, including confirming the internal layouts of apartments and materials to be used throughout the building. We look forward to sharing our detailed plans with you ahead of submission our Reserved Matters Application (RMA) to Southwark Council this summer.
The Registered Provider currently being considered has significant experience, and a proven track record of delivering, managing and operating social rent homes across London. We’re in the final stages of confirming the appointment of the Registered Provider and look forward to introducing you soon.
