Dear Resident,

We have made significant progress on site over the last month as we prepare for construction to start on the new buildings.

Infrastructure works continue to progress well, in particular the drainage elements around the old packing factory. Construction of temporary haul roads within the site are now also underway, which once completed will enable smooth movement of construction traffic around site. Scaffolding is being erected along the south of the packing factory, to enable contractors to undertake the partial demolition works. Demolition of the boundary wall along the railway viaduct and on the corner of Clements Road is now complete, and will be replaced by new secure hoarding.

The coming month will see the continuation of the demolition works to the vacant, old school buildings. Demolition has largely completed now to the Clements and Collett Road buildings, and works are also well underway on the Webster and Drummond Road buildings, with all demolition due to be completed by end of April.

Finally, piling activities are scheduled to commence in March, both to the old school site and to two plots within the main biscuit factory site, with further equipment due to arrive on site from mid-March. Noise and vibration readings are taken daily on site and are being monitored alongside environmental control limits to minimise disruption to our neighbours.

We are committed to being a considerate neighbour and will be working hard to ensure that any disruption caused by our construction work is kept to a minimum.
