Thank you for visiting our community website for the Bermondsey Project, Southwark. Over the coming weeks and months, we will be sharing more information on the history of the Biscuit Factory and the vision for the future of the area. Whether you are a local resident, community group, business, or visitor to the area, we encourage you to get in touch and share your ideas on the future of Bermondsey.

Greystar purchased the former Peek Freans Biscuit Factory site from Grosvenor in October 2022 and can’t wait to get on the ground to deliver the Bermondsey Project. We have a strong track record of sustainable regeneration and investing in the community through our projects across London and beyond, and we’ll use our experience to ensure long term value for all.

The vision for the future of Bermondsey has largely been set by previous consultation, and, since purchasing the site, Greystar has been working closely with the previous owner, Grosvenor, to fully understand the opportunities, challenges and concerns raised by neighbours over the years.

Greystar are committed to ensuring that the Bermondsey Project complements, rather than competes with, local businesses. We will continue to work closely with stakeholders, residents, businesses and other interested parties to ensure that all voices are heard, and the plans reflect local priorities.

Greystar are dedicated to opening this site and realising its potential as a new hub for people in Bermondsey. To achieve this, we will establish a number of meaningful ways for you to engage with the project, starting with this dedicated community engagement website.

As we progress plans and then move into the construction phase, we will be re-establishing the project steering group and setting up regular meetings with local people. In future, we will also be holding regular drop-in sessions at our onsite Project Hub, providing a platform for people to come and find out more about the project’s progress and talk to the Greystar team. We hope that these and other initiatives will provide easy and convenient ways for everyone to share their views.

The Team is really looking forward to meeting you all, hearing your ideas, and delivering a site that reflects the aspirations of the Bermondsey community!
