The Bermondsey Project will provide over 1,500 much needed new homes, including affordable housing and homes for families. 150,000 square ft of commercial and retail space will be flexible and modern, whilst at the same time pointing to the iconic history of the Biscuit Factory buildings within which they sit.
As well as promoting economic growth, the development will stitch North and South Bermondsey together, by establishing new connections between the site and the Blue Market. Our proposals will open up two new routes through the railway arches, to naturally increase movement between the two previously physically separated ward areas.
Opening the site up with new spaces for the community is another important aspect of the development. We’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts on how the new public realm areas can best meet the needs of the community in future.
Overall, the plans for the Bermondsey Project represent an exceptional investment to support local businesses in Bermondsey and our community investment will deliver long term value for our neighbours in Bermondsey.
